As a sponsor, you are accepting the responsibility of initiating your candidate into the Fourth Day and guiding them as a new member of our community.

1. PRE-CURSILLO DUTIES 

 

A. It is essential that you, as a sponsor, BE INVOLVED IN A GROUP REUNION AND ATTEND ULTREYA ON A REGULAR BASIS. 
B. It is very important to prepare your candidate. Give them “What is Cursillo” information. Explain the weekend by telling them what to expect. Describe the flow of the talks, table discussions, community prayer and how they will have a chance for a personal spiritual renewal. 
C. You are encouraged to invite candidates to participate in Ultreya Group Reunion.

2. CURSILLO WEEKEND DUTIES

 

A. You are asked to contribute Palanca for your candidate and the other candidates and team on the weekend. 
B. The sponsor provides transportation to and from the weekend. PLEASE DO NOT BRING YOUR CANDIDATE BEFORE THE SCHEDULED TIME. Accompany your candidate to the sign-in desk and introduce them. Then proceed to an assigned area (you will be directed where to go) and sign the Bible for your candidate. 
C. ATTEND THE CLOSING. 

3. POST-CURSILLO DUTIES 

A. Attend the follow-up meetings to show your support for your candidate and willingness to help them find a group. The Group Reunion is the key to perseverance in keeping the life with Christ and Community alive, which began on the Cursillo three-day weekend. 
B. Please accompany your candidate to Ultreya. YOUR ATTENDANCE IS IMPORTANT! 
C. You are urged to support your candidate for a period of (1) year after their Cursillo weekend.
